How gaming is all work and no play

An article on BBC News about Runescape and how it helps kids to learn some vital skills. Very comforting, I'd say. Bu still, I would encourage you to balance things out placing real life activities on the first place. After all, real waterfalls look so much better and, if you will, ALIVE comparing to the in-game reality.

Vaskor another great find, I wish I was the person doing the research getting paid to play Runescape for 3 years, I wonder what level they are.

Nice to know that if my son says can we go to the seaside I can say yes Catherby or Karamja, well the BBC says its OK.

They only touched on the educational benefits of RS, but it is good to have a real life and friends and fresh air.

Thank you for the comment, Steve! Speaking about being paid to play Runescape, in one of my searches I found a paper written by a college student who used Runescape as a role model for the research on virtual worlds economies. You can say this student was paid to do the work as well as this article authors :-)

The research was kind of lame in my opinion, I didn't featured it anywhere, but the fact is that, yes, people do use Runescape for scientific researches (and getting paid or gain other benefits from it).
