Real stealing going on in Runescape

Every time I dip into RWT related content in internet it depresses me. There is so much filth tied to this business, it is hard to comprehend. And I am not talking about the actual RS gold selling sites - these are just facades, polite, stealing, unlawful, business like, poorly English speaking facades to sweatshops somewhere far away. Far away from this country, but also from internet. I don't get to see what's going on behind these facades by browsing. But what I see is the English speaking cheating and hacking community. And it sickens me every time I dive into their virtual slough.

As you can guess, I've been there today... I surfaced with this gem though. The link goes into an ABC15 TV channel site. Watch the video attached to the article (in the top right corner). It says it all. And, yes, I pity the child, but not for his Runescape loss, but for his parents and relatives being so outrageously ignorant.

Lets try to close one of the cheating Runescape Blogs

I am still in a fighting mood and here is an idea I came up with: let's try to close one of the cheating RWT blogs. This one: http://runescape-powerleveling.blogspot.com/

As you can see this blog mostly steals from Sal's. What is also important is that the cheaters use Blogspot to host the blog and at least in case of Blogspot I know how to fight it. But I will need YOUR help! One person won't make an impact, but if we act together I hope this blog will be closed.

Here is what I suggest:

1. Mark this blog as "inappropriate". You will need an account on Blogspot in order to do it. If you don't have one, please, register - it's free. Plus you'll be able to post "non-anonymous" comments to all Blogspot blogs, including the Reader's Digest :-)

2. Write a complain to the Blogspot team about that cheating blog. You can start from here.

3. If you are from Sal's, I'd like to ask you to send a note to Salmoneus notifying about the problem. As the content owner, Salmoneus (or someone else from the site management) can file a DMCA notice, starting from here.
That should have a lot of weight. I sent a note to Salmoneus, but I am afraid he might ignore it, as I am not that active on the forum there.

4. If you would like to join the action, let your blog readers know about it as well. Link to this post or copy the steps.

And let's see if it works out. Hopefully we can make an impact there.

Stealing from Runescape Blogs

I am quite angry today. With that special mixture of anger and frustration that you get when see injustice but not able to do anything about it.

It all started yesterday when I was looking for new Runescape articles and bumped into one called "Economics of training Runescape skills". I recognized it as one of Steve's posts, but the site that hosted it wasn't Steve's one. In fact it was one of the Runescape Cheating and RWT sites. The article was clearly stolen and I wrote Steve about it. Here is Steve's response (by the way, thanks for the links!). That was yesterday.

Then today I decided to investigate the matter a little bit more. And what do you think? I found out that not only ALL articles on that particular site were stolen, but I also found several more sites and blogs (yes, even blogs!) like that. Hundreds of stolen articles, not only from Steve, I also saw tons of Sal's guides there, my articles from RS Haven - those are just a few examples.

I reported blogs hosted by Blogspot to the Blogspot team and marked them as inappropriate, maybe it will help, but some of the sites has unique domains and I am not really sure about what can be done there. Does anyone here have experience in such situations? If yes, please, advise.

And when you see a blog like that, please, at least mark it as "inappropriate" or send a complain to the hosting service (I know both Blogspot and Wordpress allow you to do so).
