Evil Runescape Cannons

There are several completely legitimate Runescape activities which are perceived negatively by general Runescape population. Merchanting is one example. And cannoning is another.

Picture you see on forums is mostly players talking about rude and inconsiderate "cannoneers". Well, I'd like to spin it around. Just like Steve said in his today's article, it's "cannoneers" who get offended more often. I've been cannoning my way through Slayer assignments for as long as I can remember and the way it works is that I have to hop worlds several times in order to find an empty world, so not to interfere with other players and only then set my cannon up. After that I just stay there until the assignment is finished. Other players come. Some join in, some leave, but there is always someone who starts calling names. So much for rude and inconsiderate "cannoneers".

Rumors in Runescape

Steve's note about a false rumor regarding the way magic dart works at Barrows triggered this post. It is amazing how these nasty things get easily replicated in an online game. Yet another proof of Runescape being indeed very close to an alternate reality. A few other false rumors I've seen/heard recently:
1. The rumor about shooting cannon in Barbarian Assault supposedly reducing team points
2. The rumor about Ring of Wealth not helping with Dragon drops
3. The rumor about having Slayer Gem in an inventory supposedly causing slayer monsters to give you more damage

Making money with Dwarf Cannon

About a month ago I found a way to make money using Dwarf Cannon, liked it very much and ended up buying and using 17K cannon balls on it. Pure profit was way above 3M gp and, of course , along the way I got tons of Ranged exp (plus Att/Str/Def, Prayer and Magic). The idea was to cannon Ice Trolls on the Fremennik Isles. A few friends of mine tried this way too but had troubles finding a good spot, so I made a video and placed it on YouTube. Here it is. Enjoy.
