I don't care if it is Runescape related or not, I think it is. At least, IMO, it should appeal to Runescape folks. See for yourself: Sintel...

Is Runescape Summoning a member or non-member skill?

There were a lot of speculation around this question with majority of the evidences pointed to "members only": pet shop in Yanille, quest starting in Taverly, long standing history of Jagex releasing only members content, recent additions to F2P which "should be enough for them" etc.
On contrary there were several screenshots with J Mods promising Summoning be F2P also. Here are a few of them:

Problem with the screenshots is that they could easily be fakes.
So, the question remained opened for speculation for a long period of time. Until the last Development Diary it is. Just one quote from there ends the discussion:
"It's my favourite members' skill that I've helped to release," says Mod Mark." which translates into: "Wanna try summoning skill? Get a membership."
I'll leave it there...

Not only Summoning coming to Runescape in January

Yes, Summoning is a much anticipated new skill, but I am actually more exited to know that useful changes to the Grand Exchange, Pking minigames and possibly Gifts/Loans system are coming as well. I am also very pleased with the fact that Jagex seems to be changing their attitude towards the Runescape community and becoming a bit more open. I mean, look at the Word About Our Updates news! Have you seen anything like that before? I don't remember such occasions and this is definitely good news.
The news article hints about the coming updates, but there is also another evidence which is much more detailed. Take a look at Jagex Mod Mark message (it is somewhere on RS forums too, but I found it through TruthScape forum). I am really optimistic about Runescape future after it.

P.S. I am also glad to tell you that Google unbanned my blog after a human took a look at it :-) So only one day missed.
