How to reduce lagging on Runescape F2P worlds

Interesting view on last year changes to F2P from a free player. Something easily missed by member players. Apparently there were quite a few F2P updates - much more when comparing to years before. Jagex keeps saying that F2P is not a demo, but a full game by itself and that they intend to keep it that way. The list of updates speaks for itself and confirms the strategy. And let's not forget their promise for the new skill being F2P too.

How to get Random Events in Runescape on purpose

Yes, indeed, there is a guide on how to get random events instead of how to avoid getting them :-) Quite an unusual guide, I would say. Of course, there are other ways to get randoms. But what is interesting is that there many players (especially in F2P) who do WANT to get randoms! And it looks like that fancy costumes from randoms is the main reason behind it.

Is Runescape Summoning a member or non-member skill?

There were a lot of speculation around this question with majority of the evidences pointed to "members only": pet shop in Yanille, quest starting in Taverly, long standing history of Jagex releasing only members content, recent additions to F2P which "should be enough for them" etc.
On contrary there were several screenshots with J Mods promising Summoning be F2P also. Here are a few of them:

Problem with the screenshots is that they could easily be fakes.
So, the question remained opened for speculation for a long period of time. Until the last Development Diary it is. Just one quote from there ends the discussion:
"It's my favourite members' skill that I've helped to release," says Mod Mark." which translates into: "Wanna try summoning skill? Get a membership."
I'll leave it there...

Training on Crandor in F2P

With so very few good F2P training areas, I'd like to feature this guide from Tip.it AOW. If you are a F2P player, take a look - you might want to add Crandor to your list somewhere close to the Security Stronghold.

Being a member for a long time it is really hard for me to imagine how Runescape feels like for F2P players. But one thing I know for sure is that F2P version of the game is much simpler. I see it over and over again when people get membership and feel overwhelmed by the huge P2P world, multitude of skills, items and quests. This article is my recommendation about where and how to start in P2P world for new members.
