Today is a big day for Runewise. Thanks to Droogan, the whole set of Runewise's level based tips was refreshed. Outdated tips were fixed and almost a hundred of new ones added! This is something I dreamed of for so long, yet dreaded to do :) Droogan did it and I am very exited and very grateful. So, if you use Runewise, go and take a look - there got to be new tips for your skills!
In other news, I did reach 99 in Herblore. Quite uneventfully. I've been thinking about doing something special about it, but changed my mind after all, and simply went and made that one extreme ranged pot for the Seers elite achievements diary.

Nerfed Extreme Potions
An article from the Informer about the recent Herblore update and fate of the Extreme potions. Yes, they were quietly nerfed by Jagex, so they could not be used in any PvP combat situations, including minigames. I still like the potions and will use them on Slayer assignments. They also can and will be used to powertrain Herblore. By was the nerfing really nesessary? PvP worlds, ok, maybe... Though I don't think there are many pkers among players with 88+ herblore, it would only be a matter of time. But why forbid it in minigames?! That I totally don't understand.

Untradeable Skilling Products
A lot of activity everywhere because of the Herblore update, mostly positive. I am in a happy camp with 91 herblore too - extreme potions rock.
But what really drew my attention is this post by Tanya from TruthScape forum:
"Now that the precedent has been set, I wonder if Jagex will apply this to other skills in future updates. I've often thought that high level smithers should be able to smith a powerful but untradeable weapon. It could equally well be applied to crafters for good armour, fletchers for special range equipment or runecrafters for crafting particularly powerful/useful runes. Just about any skill could be given the same treatment."
Sounds probable. Right?
P.S. will be away tomorrow, so don't expect posts :-)

Suggestions
Knifestorm's suggestions. I like the one about ointments: making sense of tree roots and adding a whole new dimension to combat tactics.

Ultimate Herblore Guide
One more book from Qeltar. This time it is about Herblore. Don't even try to read it in one sweep, just pick the sections you are interested the most based on your Herblore level and needs. Lots, lots of useful tips and strategies are in there.
