I absolutely have to share it with you: just added new quiz called "History of Gielinor" to Runewise (thanks to Wabbit). I think it's the best Runescape quiz I ever saw. Try it!

Follow ups
A few links today.
- First Xela's response to Qeltar's suggestions on resolving items binding problem in Dungeoneering. Xela has a good point about potential temporary slots being filled early by players made items and offers new approach of separating players made items and pure drops. If such separation could be made, extra binding slots could be applied to such dropped items only. There is more in the article, but as far as I understand that is the key idea. I like it, but think it is highly unlikely that Jagex would add such distinction between players made items and items dropped by monsters.
- Secondly, G turned my post about teleports into action and actually walked Runescape from one side to another. It took him 26 minutes - so here we go, the size of Gielinor. Thank you, G.
- Finally, Canting Away has a dedicated forum now.

Wandering around Runescape
Sometime I just walk. Just walk and wonder. See places. Get away from my usual skilling routes, lower the view, so all I could see just like the character does, and let my inner self guide me through fields and forests, deserts and marshes.
And you know what, Gielinor is so big, that I always walk into some new beautiful scenery or curious object or place. This one is from today's walk. What is this place? Is it quest related, I can't recall... But it is sure pretty.

The size of Gielinor or how big is the Runescape map?
As a continuation to the Geology of Runescape article, Knifestorm did some calculations to find out how much room does the Runescape map have for growing and expanding. The results are quite astonishing. Read on.

Taxes and Online Games
Too tired to look for posts and articles...
I hope Gielinor rulers will never ask players to prepare and file annual tax returns. Never. Why, filing taxes is a good example of real world activities that must NOT be replicated in online games. Murder - sure, burglary - why not, even cheating, but not complex computations and paper work, not that.

A skiller, a pker and a merchanter walk into a bar…
G's musings about Runescape offering different styles of play to the players. How very true! It is indeed one of the big success factors of Runescape - people with very diverse personalities and different priorities are able to prosper in Gielinor. Runescape does not force players to follow the same (limited) set of tracks as many other games do.

Power Balance in Gielinor (Part 2)
Second part of the power balance review of various forces in Gielinor. What a great piece of "role-playing" fiction!

Online Games Addiction
A bit old (no WoW or Runescape there) but still quite relevant study on online games addition. Be careful, my friends. Please, be careful out there in Gielinor.
P.S. the link is to a PDF file, not a web page.
