Where will the Soul Altar be in Runescape

Very, I mean, very good guess on where the Soul Altar will be placed, how it will be unlocked and what kind of requirements it'll have. I don't think there is a better explanation.

And, yes, I agree, second incarnation of Nomad will probably be even harder to deal with.

Killing Nomad with a Familiar

Great story from Gerasimos about the way his Turtle won the battle with Nomad. It is amazing, my battle with Nomad was also won by a familiar (Ice Titan) in the same fashion: I ran out of restore potions and simply drank sara brews while Ice Titan was damaging (and finally killed) Nomad. Now when it's not just me, I guess, it's becoming almost a valid strategy :-)

In other news:

• I am still playing War of Legends, but my patience is almost all but run down. Jagex did two (!!!) full resets of all account there in three days - it is unbelievably frustrating. It's like going through a tutorial island over and over again. Yes, I know, it's beta...
• But to compensate for WoL frustrations, I did play several Barbarian Assault games. What a blast!

That was my ninth run and this time I took an extra summoning pouch with me. It was Ice Titan and in the end it was what made the difference. Luck played its part too, of course. Nomad was sloppier than usual, Bandos Godsword special worked and I made several 75 hits shortly after the start. Then we danced. After Shelley ran out of supplies I dismissed her and summoned the Ice Titan. Nomad healed himself and finally went berserk. And I ran out of restore potions... I had 10 brews left, but no restores! With all my combat stats in twenties I couldn't hit Nomad anymore, so a weird race went on: race between me drinking brews and Ice Titan pounding Nomad. Ice Titan won by half a pot.

Guide to killing Nomad from Nomad's Requiem

I've been battling various bosses during the last 2 days. A lot. With marginal success...

• Made two more visits to Jad (no luck...)
• Finally did the Blood Runs Deep quest and defeated the Dagonnath Mother from the third attempt (first I forgot death runes... then I ran out of air runes during the battle...). The quest was beautiful, by the way. Beautiful and sad. Did they have to kill my wife? Did they really?!
• And, of course, I bumped into Nomad. About 8 times... And only once I got to the berserk stage. I don't think I am close to winning there yet. Well, at least he does not heal on me anymore. But I am running out of supplies: 5-6 more tries and I'll have to postpone the whole thing.

Found a few good guides on how to kill Nomad (as expected the started to appear). This is probably the best written one and below is a good visual illustration to it. Good luck, everyone, no matter what they say about skillful clicking, luck is definitely needed in Nomad's presence.

What is the price of the Quest Cape?

Amazingly, players need at least 14,091,141 exp to fulfill all formal requirements for the Quest Cape and in reality way more (like 20-30M). Beats most of the skill capes, doesn't it?

Merch Gwyar is also writing about her experiences with killing Nomad (or rather attempting to kill Nomad). Being very close to her combat levels, I guess, I am bound to have the same results... Plus I don't like using crossbows and from what I hear it is pretty much a requirement there.

So I'll wait and try to raise a few levels. I still need to do the Blood Runs Deep before I go for Nomad anyway. And I also owe another visit to Jad...
