Voices in Runescape

I haven't been in any of the God Wars Bosses rooms this year... Apparently they all got real voices back in January! And Nex too. Nex's voice and phrases are utterly creepy. I found three recordings on RS Wiki: one here inside an article about voice in RS (the article is quite interesting by itself BTW) and two here.

As far as voices of God Wars Generals, there are a bunch of videos on YouTube. Here is an example with all four generals featured. But it's 13 mins and quite tiresome. Is there some recording or video where these voices are delivered in compact form?

Price Manipulation on the Rares Market

Some insights into price manipulation on the Rares Market, the most closed market in Runescape. I think the only rare item which is still being traded on the GE is Santa Hat (and it's around 120M!). Everything else is unobtainable without a series of obscure junk and rare-to-rare trades. A shame really.

P.S. Can anyone point me to the list of "traders" referred to in the article? People deserve to know their heroes...

Death Wish?

"I have a death wish in game. I spent some time reviewing my activities in runescape and there is no way around it, I am asking to get myself killed."

No, that's not me - that's Gerasimos.

But could be me just as well. I am too trying to stretch limits of my character's abilities and spend hours soloying (or trying to solo) bosses and hunting revenants. And death is always somewhere very close, but (usually) not quite there.

What is this obsession?

Adults in Runescape. Why do we play?

Interesting article on Tip.it written by a 34 years old player about some of the reasons adults play Runescape. There are more, of course.

But the main point I'd like to highlight is that adults do play Runescape - it is a common misconception that Runescape is just for children. It is not. And I agree with the author, Runescape's attractiveness for adult players is in its flexibility: everyone can choose a way to play the game which suites personal preferences for amount of skilling, socializing and PvP.

Finally, I'd like to point to this interesting lecture about play and its importance for adults and human race as a whole.
