Runescape Bug Abuse is still on?

I don't get it. Take a look at this article at Tip.it which talks about a few recent bug abuse cases (admittedly I didn't even know about "The PvP Drop Potential Glitch").

But what caught my attention is the second paragraph about "Safe Death", specifically:
"These can still be performed today, but the force teleport bugs are guarded and not leaked often."

Does the author implies that these bugs are still there, some players know/use them, and he/she personally aware about a few of those?!

Less Known History of Bug Abuse in Runescape

Interesting article from Tip.it with a list of less known, but still major, bugs and bug abuse cases. Fascinating read with high Runescape historical value :-)

Andrew's explanation for the B-Day

Andrew's explanation for the B-Day events. Nice and clear.

I don't get why people are so upset about Jagex not rolling back and not banning people who were killing Bosses during the B-Day glitch.

Common, you were there, you understood that something funky was going on and you wisely decided to stay away and not abuse the glitch. Great. If you did it because you didn't want unfair advantage for your character, you achieved your goal and shouldn't be upset. But if you did it for the fear of Jagex's repercussions and now regret your actions and want other players to be punished because of this regret and envy - shame on you! I find righteousness which is based on fear of punishment quite disgusting.

Runescape B-Day or History in Making

Bug Day anyone?

What a strange coincidence, just yesterday we've been talking about the way how major bug abuse cases tend to become major milestones in Runescape history. And today we got the whole package:

  • Mass Boss Kicking caused by monsters not fighting back
  • Items lent to other players disappearing (presumably forever) - rumor, probably not true
  • Inflated drops in PvP worlds
  • People dying during Pyramid Plundering not being able to get off the spikes (shudder)
  • Player owned houses messed up
  • Summoning not working
  • Banks and GE not accessible
  • Ranging from distance not working
  • Firemaking, Woodcutting and pretty much every other skill affected at some degree
Not much bug abusing, though, except for piling Bosses and getting unfairly huge drops in PvP. Plus Jagex was able to fix the problems rather quickly. I wouldn't expect many players (if any) being banned over this. And no roll back!

No roll back effectively sealed this B-Day in Runescape History.

Yeap, I think we just got another milestone to come along with D-Day and Falador Massacre.

Bug Abuse in Runescape

Another article from RS Blog about the "dark side" of Runescape's community. The article is written by one of the former members of Tainted Ones (if I am not mistaken) and gives insights to the way these group of Runescape bug abusers operated. While what they did was most definitely wrong, it is nevertheless very interesting article to read.

Bug Abuse and Nerfing in Runescape

Rather controversial article on Tip.it about nerfing and bug abusing. Includes very interesting history of Sara GWD exploitation.

My take on the whole issue is rather simple: use your common sense.
Found a safe spot in a dungeon intended to be the most difficult and deadly one? - it's probably a bug.
Found a way to earn triple experience without much effort - it's is a bug.
Found a way to kill people in Falador (in non PvP world) - I know, you know it is a bug.

Massacre at Figth Pits

You might have already heard about the new outbreak of violence. This time at Fight Pits (perfect location...). A bug in the game allowed players to kill and loot each other in the waiting room. For a few hours pkers got their world back. And, oh boy, some people out there are so screwed up...

Watch this... Paul Gower using a wall as a temporary confinement place for the insane pker...
