As much as I favour RS over WoW, I have to disagree about the writer's opinion on death. The "catastrophe" of death on RS is so much so, that a lot of people just avoid enjoying the whole of the game. If you just got your first set of rune and a decent weapon, you'd be annoyed to see it all go downhill in wildy just because you felt like venturing out to experience PKing. Of course, I think that there should be SOME consequence to death, but why not something like XP loss?

I guess it is matter of taste :-)
I personally have adrenaline rush every time I venture into the wilderness (whether it is clue, green dragons or exploration). I think I wouldn't be that exited if I don't risk my items.

I don't know, running around the whole of Runescape and killing anyone you meet without suffering any consequences such as item loss sounds like a fun idea. So I really doubt that that can be considered as a poor feature of WoW.

Other RS players think so too... Why else would "safe" minigames like Castlewars and the Fight Pits be so popular?
