A bit of a rant here.
As you can imagine, I am regularly browsing internet for new Runescape sites and blogs looking for new sources of interesting Runescape related posts and articles. Good thing is that clearly the number of Runescape writers increases every day. Bad thing is that number of cheating sites and blogs keeps growing too... I find 10-20 cheating, RWT or non-human Runescape blogs for every genuine Runescape blog written by a real person. Very frustrating.
Moreover, such cheating, trafficking and RWT blogs occupy a lot of space in Google's search pages, thus pushing good quality Runescape blogs down the list, so it is harder for Runescape writers to get noticed by ordinary players. Well, that's the reality and I don't particularly like it...
That concludes the rant :-)
Now, one interesting observation about new Runescape blogs. What I see happening more and more often is Runescape clans establishing complimentary blogs or even replacing usual forum type of media with blogs altogether. I've seen several clans do it this way and surprisingly it works just fine. Quite a non-orthodox usage of blogs, but seemingly very legitimate.

Well said, Im new to blogging myself. Your blog for one, is very well done. I will be on the watch out for the blogs from the bad side of town.
Clan blogs?
The Blessings CLan Leaders suggested starting one last year. The forums were to be maintained since the blog would only serve as a diary describing clan events instead of a medium of communication.
I did a lot of work on the coding, but we soon lost interest in the whole thing and it just didn't take off. A pity, but it's still a very interesting idea :-)
Thank you for the comments!
Tim, if there is a clan heavy on blogs, that's definitely Blessings :-) I didn't know you were also planning a special clan events blog - I am quite sure it would work nicely. But in case of Blessing it would cause duplicates of entries, as both you and Tiz are blogging regularly about clan activities anyway.
Wow, I'm now considering making a RS blog directory
