Chores in Runescape

Article at Tip.it about daily and weekly chores in Runescape and how they tend to take too much time. I wrote about it before, but won't mind to stress it again. These daily and weekly chores is nothing more than a trap. One of Jagex's ways to tie players to the game. So many players would rather do something else in the game, but feel obligated to complete all these daily tasks and routes, because they are so darn efficient.

If you are one of those players, I have just one advice for you. DO NOT DO THESE CHORES. ALL OF THEM, literally. Avoid the trap. Play the game the way YOU want. This is the only sure way to avoid burnout and boredom.

If you happened to run by Fred, sure talk to him and get the sand (which may happen approximately once a month). Or if you got Nechryaels slayer assignment and are going to that corner of Chaos Tunnels anyway, go ahead and kill Borg (once every two weeks maybe?).
Stumbled upon a star or penguin - great, rejoice. But don't go specifically looking for them unless it is the kind of activity you really enjoy doing. Gee, you don't have to find all the penguins every week, do you? Need pineapples to pay the farmer to look after your Papaya tree? Yes, Catherby is a good place to quickly buy them, but don't do it daily and don't feel obligated to buy them all every time!

Even the Miscellania kingdom (the only daily chore I am personally still doing), even that IS NOT REQUIRED. I'll stop going there as soon as my quest to the Farming cape is over (hopefully in a few weeks).

You see, all these chores are NOT REQUIRED. Just keep them that way, please.
