Testing Runescape

Interesting initiative from Jagex. Asking local teenagers to test the game on site. Knowing Jagex's preference to do everything on their premises, it might be the first step in setting up players driven beta-testing. Sounds like B-Day isn't something Jagex is eager to repeat :-)

It's times like these (and only times like these) that make me wish I didn't live so far up in the North-West :<
There's no way my parents are going to drive me four hours just to Beta Test D:

To sum up the discussion in the MSW thread: Why are 11 year olds being asked to test a 13+ game?

Other than that, this seems like good news.

Why is the maximum age 16?
-- my guess: Despite what Jagex says, looks like the real target audience for RS is 11-16.

Why is there no mention of the testers having any previous experience with the game?
-- my guess: Content under test is completely new. A new skill?

More testing is a good thing so this is a step in the right direction.
