I think Hunter is one of the most interesting skills out there. The variety of animals and monsters to hunt is so big and almost all ways to train are very good. It is one of the few skills which you have raise avoiding monotonous repetitious long hours sessions. I put my thoughts in the What is so good about Hunter skill? article on RS Haven. Hey, I really enjoyed the thread you posted up. I have always liked the Hunter skill myself and am currently pursuing 99 as well as mining.
