Keeping Gilded Altars opened?

I have never used gilded altar myself, so never actually thought about the impact trade limitations can bring to this area. Take a look at Merch Gwyar's post about why so few altars are opened nowadays. I don't know how to help the situation. But I do know now, that if I ever decide to use someone else's altar, I should bring something more than just dragon bones with me.
