I don't think it's a good use of resources... why don't they just centralize and push MechScape out already?
It seems strange that they are trying to recompile the game, since that the main appeal of java is the native cross-platform capacity. It seems much better served to put the effort into developing and improving java stacks on mobile and console platforms.
