Dungeoneering Bosses

I've been doing Dungeoneering, Dungeoneering and more Dungeoneering lately. Mostly solo. There is no doubt, I like the skill (or as some say "a mega minigame"). And here is why:

  • I love the exploration aspect of it. Maybe the novelty will wear off over time, but it hasn't yet. I am level 52, but still enjoy exploring the map and unlocking the rooms.
  • I like how I can raise my other skills while dungeoneering. Especially the skills I don't usually train, like fishing, mining and woodcutting. I am gaining levels in all those skills without actually training them!
  • Boss fights are fun!

Speaking about bosses, here is a "sweet, short and straight to the point" list of Dungeoneering bosses and ways to kill them.

All the smart strategies are there, yet I personally use simplified approach called "wear the best melee armor I could make and bash the boss over the head with Gorgonite two-handed sword whenever possible". It works too, almost every time :-)
So here is my "simplified list":

  • Gluttonous behemoth - deprive the poor animal from its food pool, pray something and hit it over head with the two-handed sword
  • Astea Frostweb - bring a good bow and some arrows, pray magic, when frozen use ranged, but as soon as you are free run toward her and bash her over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Icy Bones - stay put, pray magic and bash it over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Luminiscent Icefiend - try to avoid icicles, pray magic, eat profusely and bash it over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Plane-freezer Lakhrahnaz - bring a good bow and some arrows, pray magic, range when far away, but try to get close and then bash it over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • To'Kash the Bloodchiller - stay put, pray magic and bash it over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Skeletal Horde - pray ranged (or magic if surrounded by mages only), hit every moving target with the two-handed sword, eat profusely and close tunnels when told so.
  • Hobgoblin Geomancer - bring a good bow and some arrows, pray magic, when snared use ranged, but as soon as you are free run toward him and bash him over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Bulwark Beast - chip away the armor, pray something and then bash it over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Unholy Cursebearer - pray magic, restore your stats when needed and bash him over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Rammernaut - pray something, try to put him against the wall, but in general simply eat profusely and bash him over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Stomp - pray magic, activate lodestones when possible and bash it over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Har'Lakk the Riftsplitter - pray magic, avoid "open portal" attacks, eat profusely and bash it over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Lexicus Runewright - bring a good bow and some arrows, pray magic, avoid books barrage, use ranged occasionally, but normally simply run toward him and bash him over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Sagittare - pray magic, avoid the rain of arrows attack, run around a lot and bash him over the head with the two-handed sword.
  • Night-gazer Khighorahk - light beacons, avoid splash attacks, bash him over the head with the two-handed sword until at least one beacon is lit, then repeat.

With this simplified approach only one boss causes me occasional deaths: Har'Lakk the Riftsplitter. The rest of them are quite amiable to bashing over the head :-)

Hey! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with
hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing
months of hard work due to no data backup. Do you
have any solutions to prevent hackers?
